Laureate International University (AU)

With an emphasis on collaborative, open and flexible spaces, the lighting in Laureate International University is diverse. Trackspots and surface mounted downlights were selected to provide direct general illumination, whereas clusters of pendants were used to create more intimate meeting/study nooks within large breakout spaces. The existing architecture of the building influenced the design selection of luminaires. Original Victorian plaster details in the lift lobby inspired the use of classic exposed filament lamps while the perforated ceiling throughout the levels required custom channels to be recessed into the ceiling, allowing the installation of track. All luminaires chosen are either spherical or cylindrical, complementing each other and allowing the design aesthetic to flow throughout the space.
